The Global Environments Network facilitates connections, exchanges and collaborations among event participants and resource people, building durable partnerships that guarantee the sustainability of the Network and impacts at multiple scales.
Since the first Global Environments Summer Academy in 2011, alumni have returned to ensuing summer academies, regional academies and community exchanges, providing highly successful contributions as resource people and co-coordinators, and generating cross-cohort continuity.
GEN Partnerships involve supporting individuals and organisations whose values and missions are aligned with those of the Network, via informal, often in-kind collaborations. Ideas borne from intense discussions held at GEN events have led to successful project collaborations. GEN members have also seized opportunities to engage in other settings, such as conferences and ad-hoc meetings, strengthening bonds while creating spaces for intellectual debate.
Via GEN Project Packages, we support members who need support to turn their project ideas from dreams to reality. Each package includes seed funding as well as mentoring, comms support and advice from GEN team members and resource people.
GEN members who find a common ground while at a GEN event as well as through connections made with other members of the Network work together to publish articles.
